Software development department

SmartDrivez is a next generation storage technology. It can be used for:

• Backup. Every time when backup is performed SmartDrivez detects only modified files and for these files it searches only for the modified part (delta file) that is to be sent for storage
• Accessing data from different places. Having internet smartdrive you can easily synchronize your documents at work and documents at home, access them from your friend's house or internet cafe
• Collaboration. SmartDrivez allows multiple users to share stored data. Several access modes are used for security. Since SmartDrivez keeps all versions of your files, so no changes may be lost as a result of editing single file by several users.

SmartDrivez can use local disks or Internet servers for storage:

• Local archives are kept on local disks (HDD, file server's HDD, removeable disks - CD-RWs, ZIP, MO, etc.) and can be used for backup or collaboration work (file server's HDD)
• Internet archives are kept on special SmartDrivez servers and can be used for backup and accessing data from different places, and for collaboration.

The system consists of several components and includes:

• Shell Extension library that implements namespaces. It includes find tool. Implemented features are "drag-n-drop" support, rooted and non-rooted namespaces, delayed folder enumeration.
• Control panel applet.
• Daemon executable (operating on local computer). Implements versioning, compressing, storing data (storage with improved performance).
• Server executable. Implements the same functionality as the local one but supports larger storages.
• External wizards. UI applications.
• ASP gate. It is used instead of shell extension and allows web users to work with the system.
• Installation components including ActiveX control (embedded) for quick installation
• Low-level driver for protecting archives from viruses and harmful user influence.

Most of the work for development, QA, testing and design is being carried out within iDeveloperNetwork Company.

There were two versions of this software. QuickStitch permits digital images to be combined, or "stitched", into a "wide angle" or even panoramic image by emulating 3D surrounding. This application is currently being bundled with all Ricoh digital cameras distributed in U.S. The UI featured an easy-to-use file browser, multithreaded image previewer, image "drag-and-drop" feature, image layout capability, and custom controls that allow a customized (artistic) interface presentation.

Lots of nice features (like image filters) were added in the second version.

The project was implemented for Enroute Images Inc. (Palo Alto, CA, USA). The specialists of Enroute Imaging Inc. have developed the engine, which was the base QuickStitch operated on.

Company developes flexible, easy to use, compact (engine uses only WinAPI32 functions, no MFC!) GUI engine. The engine provides for easy creation of Win32 applications with complex GUI (WinAMP-like). GUI created by the engine has a lot of nice features: non-rectangular region-based windows and controls, easy GUI changes without product recompilation, run-time GUI changing (a kind of skin support). Project included a lot of powerful WinAPI development.

XCar is an arcade auto race simulator. It implements both 2D and 3D views. 3D view is implemented using voxel technology. XCar physics simulates such characteristics as different surfaces (road, mud), gravity, etc; also 'night' mode was implemented for several tracks. iDeveloperNetwork carried out the complete development cycle, including development, art design and QA.

Internet development department

Project was targeted at porting Java-applet to Win32/C++ Internet client. 'Ciao!' multilingual server allows the users to chat in different languages and understand each other. Our development team has ported Java source of the client part to C++ and built an MFC wrap around existing code. Project included a lot of TCP/IP programming, real-time communication with server, multithreaded UI model, unicode support (for Windows 95 that does not support unicode) and control customization. This project had been developed for Intermedia Inc. (Palo Alto, CA, USA).

Web design and development department

EventPlanner is a web-based solution for Bellwether Group personnel involved in meeting planning, organization and accounting. The main idea was to simplify company internal documentation, to make it web-enabled and centralized, and to provide extensive reporting capabilities. These improvements allow agents to perform their work everywhere and to have instant access to the customer base, active event list, and locations list. Also all agents and the administrator are able to produce 12 types of parameterized reports with different data grouping, sorting and ordering. Printer-friendly reports are supported as well.

IDN was asked to join Duality and Intaglio Creative in the development of the SRC Devices web site. Our developers performed all HTML, JavaScript and PHP coding of this site, and some part of administering it. You can see the result at www.srcdevices.com

Software testing department

TimeLedger is an oline system for optimization of company personnel worktime usage.

Each employee can create timetables for joint collaboration in solving several problems, produce invoices for the work payment and provide overhead expense accounting. Reporting module presents a variety of reports for comprehensive data analysis. You will be able to control the problem solving process, effectiveness of the staff operation, time and money spent.

The product does not require installation and upgrade; you will be able to access your data from each Internet connected computer by means of Internet Explorer browser version 4.x or 5.x, or Netscape Navigator version 4.x.

Phantom2000 is a multi-function environment for emulation of CD-ROM drive and for operation with CD images. Phantom2000 allows both the emulation of virtual CD-Drives and creation of CD images (Data CD, Audio CD and Mixed-mode CD) that can be mounted into virtual CDD, and makes it possible to work with them as with real disks. Phantom2000 also supports the conversion of its images into prevalent images for CD recording programs. Phantom2000 supports CD image compression both for data and audio (in the latter case the compression by means of any standard codec installed in the system, including MP3 standard, is used). The program features convenient drag'n'drop interface, and everything needed to work with CD images is always at user's fingertips.

'Netficiency Suite is a program complex that allows a user: to effectively control the launch of different tasks both locally in PC and via Internet, to transfer files via Internet, to optimize Internet access.
'Netficiency Suite includes 3 program modules:

• task scheduler (Scheduler);
• file transfer program (v NetButler);
• Internet access optimization program (v Internet Optimizer).

• uploading/downloading separate files and folders to/from remote computers;
• sending messages and files by email;
• downloading of Web Sites.
